Report a Lost / Stolen / Compromised / Member Card

To report a lost, stolen or compromised MEMBER CARD® debit card please call 1-800-461-4288. If the incident is recognized outside of business hours please leave a message, your issue will be followed up on the next business day. Any fraudulent charges made after the card has been reported lost, stolen or compromised will not be your responsibility.

The OPPA Credit Union has a Fraud Monitoring system in place to flag transactions deemed highly suspicious, the system will place a temporary block on the card until the credit union can validate the suspicious activity with the cardholder. No transactions will be processed until you have spoken with someone from the Credit Union to validate the transactions and unlock the card.

Zero Liability applies to your purchases made with your credit card in the store, over the telephone, online for via a mobile device. As a cardholder, you will not be held responsible for unauthorized transactions if:

  • You have used reasonable care in protecting your cards from loss or theft.
  • You have reported to Cardholder Service at 1.855.341.4643 (Canada and U.S.) or 1.647.252.9564 (International Collect) when you knew that your credit card was lost or stolen.

If you believe there has been unauthorized use on your account and you meet the conditions above, you are protected by Zero Liability. If you do not meet the conditions above, please reference your Cardholder Agreement for additional information regarding liability.

Unresolved Member Service Issues?

Member Satisfaction is very important to us at the OPPA Credit Union.  If you have an unresolved member service issue please complete the following steps to ensure your issue is addressed:

  1. Contact the person who handled the transaction in question
    Direct resolution of most issues can be handled efficiently by first speaking with the employee who processed the transaction in question or the Manager of that department.

  2. Contacting the OPPA Credit Union Complaints’ Officer
    If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided through Step 1, you may forward your concern in writing to the Complaints Officer.  The Complaints’ Officer will work with the Senior Management team to resolve the issue.
